About Revive

Revive is a safe water based, non toxic and non flammable fluid, using technology developed and used for the cleaning and maintenance of aviation jet engines, power station turbines, large marine diesel engines and now automotive engines.
The fluid is sprayed into the vehicle’s intake system before the turbo inlet whilst the engine is running. As the Revive fluid passes through the engine system it locks on to built up oily/carbon deposits and strips away a surface layer. These tiny carbonised particles are then carried away out through the exhaust system, without blocking catalysts and filters.

By performing three Revive cleaning doses on the vehicle, carbonised layers are removed gradually, making the engine cleaning process very safe.

Will Revive fix the problem?

It does depend on the cause of the problem, if it is soot build-up related, then Revive has a very good record of helping. Your Garage may recommend trying Revive first, rather than going down a more expensive repair route. If the build-up is very bad, you may need to apply two treatments. Prior to making a purchase please carry out some basic diagnostic tests first. Using suitable equipment, check for vacuum leaks in related solenoids and actuators. Scan for diagnostic trouble codes to identify the fault area. If you are unsure seek advice from a Qualified Trade Professional. Revive is extremely effective at removing sooty carbon deposits from variable geometry turbochargers, however, it cannot compensate for split vacuum pipes, mechanically worn or seized components.

Will Revive clean my Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) too?

 It is important to understand that, whilst there is a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) in the Engine Control Unit (ECU), other than DPF related codes, the strategy of the ECU will abort any attempt to naturally regenerate the DPF until that the cause has been rectified, such as Turbo Overboost/Underboost conditions. During this period, if ignored, the Pressure Differential Sensor will detect an increase in soot content and this will continue to rise if driven and will trigger a DTC relating to DPF blockage even before a Revive treatment.

When treating your vehicle, Revive will remove soot and carbon deposits from internal components, so it is inevitable that the removed particles will add to the soot levels in the DPF. Once the DTC’s have been cleared, the Engine ECU will then reinitialise the regeneration process, lowering the soot levels and this explains why customers believe that Revive has cleaned the DPF.

Service ShotTM

Revive can be used to prevent the build up of carbon in the engine system as well as a full clean treatment on problem vehicles. The Revive Service Shot is one measured dose that should be used as a preventative treatment before each service.
